We're joining the Red Elephant Club, at least for this week
We’re back to start a new week at GIVE ME WINS. Since we gave out our MNF plays over the weekend on Twitter/X to ensure the best possible odds and the props gods have not cooperated, today’s newsletter will be a little smaller than usual and may only take three minutes to read. 🤣 Despite a small MLB slate, we did find some baseball action, and since we already gave out tonight’s NFL plays, we figured an early jump on Week 4 in college football was the way to go. So, without any further adieu, kick back, relax, and find out how we’re going to beat the books today.🍀
Here’s what’s on tap:
A pair of MLB moneyline plays that present great opportunities to cash 💰
Early week CFB picks to pounce on now to lock in the best odds 🏈
Here we go!

MLB Sides: Look for the Twins to roll in Cinci
Today’s smaller schedule of MLB games didn’t present many spots we liked, but we did isolate two plays we’re rolling with, albeit at pretty heavy prices.
Twins ML-145 vs. Reds: We know the Twins are dinged up, but we’ve been on them regularly over the last few weeks, and it’s served us well. Despite the injuries, the Minnesota lineup continues to mash right-handed pitching over the last several weeks, while the Reds have struggled to hit righties during that span. In this battle of righty starters, the Twins have a significant edge with the solid Joe Ryan over struggling rookie Connor Phillips. That’s enough for us to lay the wood and roll with the Twinkies tonight.
Brewers ML-170 vs. Cardinals: This price is the one that bugs us, but the Brewers hold all the edges here. The Milwaukee hitters are in better recent form as the Cardinals ride out the string and deal with injuries up and down the lineup. The Brew Crew has one of baseball’s best pens. The St. Louis relievers are a below-league-average group. And finally, the most prominent edge in this matchup is between the starting pitchers. Milwaukee gives the ball to Freddy Peralta, who has been excellent all season and downright dominant over his last five starts. The Cards counter with Adam Wainwright, who I think I might be able to get a hit off of at this point. 😀 Laying this kind of juice is never easy, so if you’re squeamish, go with the run line at -1.5 at -110. That’s not an official play as much as an alternative to our pick, which is the Brewers on the moneyline despite the significant juice.
CFB Week 4: Two plays to jump on ahead of the line moves
These are two situations we’re convinced line movement to the wrong side of key numbers is coming early this week, so lock in the best number you can now.
Alabama -6.5 (-123) vs. Mississippi: We’re already seeing movement in the wrong direction on this spread, even though the majority of the tickets and money wagered has been on Ole Miss. The look-ahead line was Bama -15.5, which moved all the way down to -6.5 at -110 before moving up to -7 at -110. All this off the Crimson Tide’s dismal performance versus USF on Saturday. We see this as an over-correction in the market and think that this is the time to pounce on Bama. Nick Saban and offensive coordinator Tommy Rees will put Jalen Milroe back in the starting lineup at quarterback and design a game plan to play to Milroe’s athletic gifts while hiding his deficiencies. We cashed with Mississippi back in Week 2, but honestly, we have never been the biggest fans of QB Jaxson Dart and feel the Rebels’ defense can be had. In Saban, we trust! Lay the points and Roll Tide!!!
Oregon -20.5 (-110) vs. Colorado: While Saturday’s matchup with Colorado State was a classic look-ahead spot for the Buffaloes, it was also telling. While Colorado is far more talented than we believed they were coming into the season, they can’t just throw their helmets on the field and dominate inferior competition the way some of the truly elite programs around the country are capable of at times. Well, Saturday’s opponent on the road does not have inferior talent. As a matter of fact, Oregon is the more talented team, better in the trenches, just as fast and athletic, and better coached. Add in that the Buffs will be without their best player in two-way star Travis Hunter and that Colorado had to fight for their lives into the wee hours of Sunday morning while the Ducks lifted all their starters at halftime, and this looks like the week Colorado gets served a helping of humble pie. It sounds like a big number, but don’t worry; we believe this one could be over by halftime.
That’s a wrap gang. Let’s hope we’ve got the goods to start the week on a high note.🤞Remember to follow us on Twitter/X @give_me_wins for bonus plays and all the latest from the GIVE ME WINS team. Look for a full-length newsletter tomorrow featuring a full complement of MLB, sides, totals, and pitcher props, as well as some early-week NFL or CFB picks to get the best line value. Until tomorrow, may all your tickets be winners!👍
