TGIF!!!

A brutal beat on a Hail Mary pass by the Houston Cougars took profit out of our pockets yesterday. 😡 We will continue to trust the process and look to rebound with a big football weekend starting tonight. 🙏 With no MLB postseason play until Sunday, we are all football with today’s newsletter plays covering both the NFL and college football schedules. Without any further adieu, let’s dive right in and look at how we’re beating the books today! 🍀

Here’s what’s on tap:

  • Two more plays to add to our CFB card, including a side from tonight’s action 🏈

  • A pair of NFL plays for Sunday that will line your pockets with cash 🤑

Here we go!

CFB Week 7: The Buffaloes will trample the Cardinal tonight in Boulder

Most of our college football plays this week have been for the early and midweek contests. It’s time to add one for tonight and continue building our Saturday card. We will have a bunch of releases on Saturday morning on Twitter/X.

Colorado -11.5 (-110) vs. Stanford: Colorado started the season strong with wins against TCU, Nebraska, and Colorado State but has struggled since the competition has stiffened. The Buffaloes are a slightly above-average team, with a slightly above-average offense that can exploit poor defenses and a somewhat below-average defense that can hold its own against lousy offenses. They get both a poor offense and poor defense with this Stanford team. The Cardinals couldn’t score in a brothel with a pocket full of hundreds, 🤣 putting up just 19.2 points per game, while their Swiss cheese defense has surrendered 34.6 points per outing. Whether two-way star Travis Hunter returns tonight or not, Colorado should cruise to a 20+ point win, easily covering this number.

Kansas vs. Oklahoma St. u56.5 (-110): With a poor offensive team in Oklahoma State and a run-dominant team in Kansas, especially with backup quarterback Jason Bean at the controls, this one has under written all over it. When you also factor in that the Cowboys are a pretty solid defensive unit, this one should slide under the total with relative ease.

NFL Week 6: The Patriots will prevail in a battle between cellar dwellers

We’ve got two more plays to add to your NFL card for Sunday. We will release several bonus plays on Sunday morning that we hope put us in a great position to have a positive unit week with our NFL action.

Patriots +3.5 (-129) vs. Raiders: This play is one that our https://www.rithmm.com/ model loves. It has calculated the win probability at 64%, giving us a nearly 20% edge on this wager. With the state of the Patriots this season, this spot may be puzzling to some, but while New England is a mess, the Raiders are an even bigger mess. Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and his staff do not put the Pats in a position to lose every week, while the same can’t be said for Raiders headman Josh McDaniels and his assistants. That, combined with Las Vegas getting between two and three points for home-field advantage in a stadium that will have more Patriots fans than Raiders fans and the fact that New England has cleaned on lousy teams, makes 3.5 points too enticing to pass up in a matchup between two poor teams.

Eagles -6.5 (-110) vs. Jets: Some shops still have this number on the right side of seven. If you can’t get -6.5 at -110, lay extra juice to get under the key number, and you should be good as gold. The Eagles are one of the elite teams in the NFL and one of only two remaining unbeaten teams, while the Jets, without quarterback Aaron Rodgers, have gone from a Super Bowl contender to a sub-.500 group, not likely to make the playoffs. With Zack Wilson at QB, the loaded New York offense can’t get out of its own way, ranking as one of the NFL’s worst units and its worst passing offense. The vaunted Jets' defense has collapsed under the weight of their pitiful offense, ranking an unexpected 22nd in total defense and an awful 29th versus the run. That will play right into the hands of Philadelphia, who will run the ball down New York’s throat. Expect the Eagles to shorten the game with their ball control offense limiting possessions for both clubs, with Philly controlling the game from beginning to end. We think it is key to be on the right side of seven here because the Eagles have not been blowing teams out; they grind them to dust and play keep away with their running attack, resulting in closer games on the scoreboard than the stat sheet.
